I’m Gareth, the founder of Maths GP. I’ve spent over 15 years helping
students from KS2 to GCSE build confidence and achieve strong
results. I originally graduated with a degree in Chemistry, and that
scientific background helps me explain maths in a clear, logical way, but
maths has always been the subject I’m most passionate about teaching.

Before retraining as a maths teacher in 2011, I worked in the emergency
services, scientific research, and as a financial advisor. Since then, I’ve
taught in schools, colleges, and training centres, and I also work as a
GCSE examiner for Edexcel. As a longstanding primary school
governor, I understand how students learn at every stage.

At Maths GP, my focus is simple: to provide structured, supportive
tuition that helps students feel calm, capable, and in control of their
learning.
